I’m Iktiup Mahmud Seyam, a Software Engineer and final-year Computer Science & Engineering student from Cumilla, Bangladesh, with 3+ years of hands-on experience building software and solving real-world problems.

My journey began in cybersecurity, where I developed an early interest in understanding how systems work, how they break, and how to make them more secure. In 2022, I shifted my focus toward software engineering, turning that curiosity into a passion for building scalable and reliable systems.

Today, my core focus is backend engineering, system design, and problem solving. I work with technologies such as Node.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Docker, and modern JavaScript frameworks, while my experience solving 1000+ competitive programming problems has strengthened my foundation in algorithms, data structures, optimization, and analytical thinking.

Beyond writing code, I enjoy turning ideas into products. I’ve built real-time platforms, automation systems, developer tools, and production-oriented applications while leading technical teams and mentoring developers. I enjoy taking a problem from raw idea and requirements to architecture, implementation, and delivery.

I’m competitive by nature, relentlessly curious, and increasingly interested in the intersection of engineering, products, and business. My goal is simple: build technology that solves meaningful problems, scales beyond the prototype, and creates real-world impact.

What I Do

Backend & API Engineering

Designing and building fast, reliable APIs and services with TypeScript, Node.js, Hono and Express, backed by PostgreSQL, MongoDB and Redis.

System Design & Architecture

Turning requirements into scalable architectures, choosing the right data stores, queues and caching strategies for the problem at hand.

Real-time Systems

Building low-latency, real-time features such as live chat, streaming and collaboration with WebSocket, WebRTC and LiveKit.

Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps

Shipping and running production systems with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines and full observability on AWS and other clouds.
